Get ready to hit the streets at the 2024 Inter Pipeline Fort McMurray Marathon on September 22, 2024

(Fort McMurray, AB, April 5, 2024) – The Inter Pipeline Fort McMurray Marathon will once again hit the trails and streets of Fort McMurray as the annual event returns on September 22, 2024. Back again this year is the Run for a Reason program which allows local charity and non-profit organizations to raise funds through marathon participants.

For over a decade, runners from Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo and beyond have participated in the annual marathon at the end of September. The 2023 marathon was almost fully sold out in all distance categories, showcasing the exponential growth of the event since its humble beginning as a half marathon.

Participants will have the opportunity to register in the CNOOC 42.2 km, Servus Credit Union 21.1km, Higher Health 10km, WBEA 5km and SMS Equipment 3km distances. Back again in 2024 is the ever-popular CEDA Kid’s Fun Run which allows young runners to enjoy short runs on the same course as the marathon participants.

Early bird runner registration for the 2024 Inter Pipeline Fort McMurray Marathon will begin on May 1, 2024. Non-profit and charitable organizations can register to participate in the Run for a Reason program immediately.
